January 20, 2017

Yesterday was a wonderful day for so many reasons. One, it was a beautiful warm and sunny spring day. Two, my family took me out for brunch. And three, I didn’t have to cook! What more can you ask for on Mother’s Day! As you know, I do love to cook and make people happy with my food, especially my family. However, there’s still something so special about having a meal prepared for you.

Yesterday we went to Gusto 101, a new restaurant that happens to be owned my daughter Angela’s best friend. I had a delicious meal finished off with an assortment of tiny desserts. I really like the rum baba cupcake. Hmmm, I wonder if they use Jamaican rum?

Being with my family always reminds me why I’m doing this web site. They’re the reason why I want to document all my recipes, tips and tricks. It just never even occurred to me that I might end up sharing them with all of you, too!

I have to thank Angela for helping me. We are now spending more time together than we have in years doing something we both love.  Last week we were even guests on a cooking TV show! I’ll tell you all about that soon. I also want to thank you for visiting my site and joining my mailing list. I cherish your questions, comments and well wishes and hope that you enjoy my recipes as much as I enjoy teaching you how to prepare them. So, why not prepare one of my dishes for someone special … so they can feel as good as I did on Mother’s Day.
