Calvin’s Jamaican Pina Colada Recipe

Port Antonio, Jamaica – In Jamaica you can naturally find all the ingredients to make a delicious Pina Colada Cocktail – pineapple juice, coconut milk and, of course, Jamaican rum. At Goblin Hill Villas bartender Calvin Wellington makes delicious drinks at Tree Bar in the shade of a gigantic ficus tree. While we were staying at the resort he graciously agreed to share his recipe with us. We found his cocktail to be creamy, refreshing and simply delicious! Plus, you can whip of this drink in about 2 minutes flat!

1 cup ice
2-oz Coconut Milk
1-1/2-oz Pineapple Juice
3/4-oz Coconut Rum
1/2-oz Dark Rum
1/2 tsp Sugar or Simple Syrup
1 Maraschino cherry

1. Put all the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth
2. Garnish glass with a Maraschino cherry and pour pina colada into glass
Makes 1 serving

In the video below Calvin shows us how easy it is to make his Pina Colada cocktail. The video runs about 3 minutes and was shot on location at Goblin Hill Villas on the northeast coast of Jamaica. Make sure to watch to the end to see Angela taste test his cocktail!

It sounds like he is saying 1 1/2 oz of pineapple juice but the recipe states 1/2 oz. Can you please tell me which is correct? Thanks.

      Thank Gina,
You’re right! It is 1-1/2 oz pineapple juice. Thanks for catching that. It has been corrected.
