Jamaican Mango Salsa Recipe

This spicy Jamaican-style mango salsa recipe is a beautiful blend of sweet and spicy, and so easy! I love making a batch to pair with grilled fish or chicken. But, if you want to make it to go with jerked anything, omit the pepper in the salsa and use it as a great way to cool down the jerk spices.

Ripe mangoes are best for this recipe, but believe it or not if they’re still a little green they still make a great salsa…on the sweet and sour side. It takes no time to make this side dish so you can enjoy my Jamaican-style mango salsa even with a quick weeknight dinner. That’s because it’s also delicious as a topping for any kind of burger!

6 ripe Mangoes, diced
1 1/2 cups chopped Red Onion
3/4 cup chopped fresh Cilantro
1/4 to 1/2 tsp  Salt (to taste)

1 to 2 tsp Hot Pepper Sauce (optional)

Sounds great….especially for fish. I’m off in search of some good mangoes….not always easy to find here in the hills of Arkansas.
