Brown Stew Oxtail is a classic Jamaican dish! There are more than one way to make it but this “brown stew” version is what most people think of when they think of Jamaican Oxtail. It really is all about simmering the meat until tender. Better said,… until it is falling off the bone.

This is a recipe that you can really add lots of love to because it’s a slow simmering dish that’s well worth the wait. You can make it with or without lima beans (also called butter beans). Either way you’ll love it!
