I’m so excited that I had to tell you today about next week’s Cook Like A Jamaican Jerk Fest! Starting June 25 I’ll be writing about Jamaican Jerk. I’ll be kicking off the week with a brief history of the spicy seasoning and cooking method that Jamaicans have transported around the world. The rest of the week will include ingredientinformation and cooking tip videos, and then wrap up with my special secret Jerk Chicken recipe, which I will send to everyone on my mailing list!
I’m very proud of this recipe because, unlike many of my recipes that have been passed down from my mother or grandmother, this one is all mine and it never fails. I can’t say more about my marinade other than it’s foolproof and offers an amazingly authentic flavour whether you cook it in the oven or on the grill.
This recipe is well worth the wait and I’ll make sure that you have it in time to start the summer BBQ season right. The photo above is of me and my grand-daughter, Raine, holding a batch of jerk chicken that was gone in 10 minutes. So, if you want to impress your tastebuds, and your guests, make sure to sign up on my mailing list before June 22 to get this recipe right away!
