As many of you know, yesterday afternoon Angela and I were on the cooking show Look I Cook. The whole family came over to my house to have lunch and watch the show. Angela and I decided to make the same dishes that we made on TV (Ackee and Saltfish and Fried Dumplings), plus a few more — Callaloo and Fried Plantains.

It was interesting to see how the show turned out. I think they did a great job! Everything went so well the day of the shoot, I had forgotten that, at one point, the smoke alarm went off! Well, they kept that in the show, which we thought was great, because that’s exactly what happens when you cook in real life.

If you were able to catch the show, I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. After the show, I was surprised to hear that a few of you far away, like Wendy in the Bahamas, were able to watch Look I Cook on satellite! Amazing! It will be on again on Friday June 8 at 11 pm on Omni 1 in Toronto. However, for those not in the Toronto area, we’re hoping to share the show with you all in the near future.

In our family cooking is a loving gesture. Our mission is to spread that love around the world by sharing our beloved family recipes. Our Jamaican recipes have been passed down for generations, are easy to prepare and very authentic! We know you'll love them. Enjoy!
