FayIt’s been a while since we posted a new recipe. That’s because life goes on. What I mean is that while I was away in Florida my sciatica acted up  making it difficult for me to get around … a real pain in my back. I’ve been home for three weeks now and just starting to feel like myself again. However, a lot happened during that time. I got to read a lot of your comments here and on our Youtube channel, as well I saw the many emails you sent me. I am thrilled and flattered by how many of you have been trying my recipes and loving them.

Reading your kind words of how I may remind you of a family member or how you now feel you can now recreate beloved family memories warms my heart. I feel blessed to be helping so many of you, especially when I get so much from you! I never thought that at this stage of my life I’d be up to something like this. I thank you for your love and support and I’m excited to cook up more recipes based on your requests!

In the photo above I am making Stew Peas and Rice. This is a beloved Jamaican recipe that I know you’ll love. My recipe is as traditional as you’re going to get, but by all means switch up some of the ingredients to suit your needs. I look forward to sharing my recipe and new video with you this week… and another next week. Yes, I’m back, feeling good and thankful every day for the opportunity to bring you my best.

I’ve been cooking Jamaican food for my family for more than 50 years! Now I'm teaching my daughter Angela and you how to cook my treasured family recipes! I'm happy to be of service and love hearing from you so don't forget to leave a comment below.

I was scared you would give up. I was waiting your recipes, because I love them so. I tried your Jerk Chicken last week and everyone was enthusiastic. Thank you for your wonderful work.

God bless you…I’m so glad you’re feeling better. My sister introduced me to your web site and I can not tell you how many found memories of our Dad’s cooking has come up reading your recipes. My father was a great cook but I never took the time to learn how to make many of these delicious island dishes. My hat off too for your labor of love; it is so appreciated by me and my family. I have a pot of the corn soup on as we speak, next week I can wait to make the corn porridge for breakfast. Take care
